Courtillers
Chemin de la GobtiĂšre
72300 CourtillersLet yourself be seduced by the forest of Pincé. The smallest village in the canton of Sablé, Pincé belonged to the rich Benedictine abbey of Saint-Aubin d'Angers. Situated on the border between Maine and Anjou, Pincé has long been a source of envy between these two provinces. In the 18th century, the seigneury of Pincé became part of the Marquisate of Sablé, at the behest of Colbert de Torcy. Here you can admire the parish church of Saint-Aubin and the priory dwelling (private).
The Sablé/Solesmes golf course is close to the circuit and there is a restaurant not far from the starting point in Pincé.
A possible link to Courtillers, a small village between Sablé and Précigné, Courtillers is remarkable for its village which forms a circle around the parish church, built between the 15th and 18th centuries. To the north of the village are the remains of the former "garenne" of the Chùteau de Sablé, which consisted of a vast quadrilateral bordered by chestnut hedges.
