SÉJOUR LINGUISTIQUE ET CULTUREL POUR APPRENDRE LE FRANÇAIS

Based at Château de la Mazure in the heart of Western France, our cultural and linguistic immersions are unique. Our tailor-made program will allow you to discover various aspects of French language and culture, including our rich history and famous gastronomy.

The Host:
Here to welcome you is Aude le Marié, the château owner. She will simplify the French language but also introduce you to the French way of life. Our friendly and motivated team are also on hand to guide and encourage you and ensure that you get the best out of your time with us.

Your accommodation:
Built at the end of the 19th century, Château de La Mazure was originally intended as a place to welcome guests. Continuing in this spirit, today we welcome people wanting to experience French culture for themselves from all over the globe.
The château is still owned by the Le Marié family who have taken care to preserve its original features: paintings, tapestries, cordovan leather and even a dumbwaiter which is still used everyday! The château is also equipped with all the mod cons, including Wi-Fi, and every bedroom has an ensuite.
The property stretches over almost 200 hectares of land, comprising of woods, fields, lakes and farmlands. Landscapes typical of the Mayenne countryside allow you to discover all kinds of natural wildlife; pheasants, partridges, deer and wild boar can all be seen roaming around the heart of the property.
Our chefs will cook gourmet dishes using produce from our vegetable garden where possible. There will also be some French cooking classes, Cuisinez-vous le français?, where you’ll be able to improve your linguistic and culinary skills at the same time.

The program:
We have organised a range of excursions that will allow you to discover the crème de la crème of our region:
• A tour of Laval, including the two châteaux and a visit to Lactopôle, the world’s largest cheese museum.

The region:
Located between Mont Saint Michel and the Loire Valley, the Mayenne region is in reaching distance of all the main tourist attractions in Western France. Full of verdant scenery and rolling hills, the Mayenne is also the perfect place for a relaxing break.
Laval is only 10 minutes away. With its two castles and half-timbered houses and narrow cobbled streets, the town retains its French charm. Given that the region is celebrated for farming, it perhaps comes as no surprise that the world’s largest cheese museum is also based here!
Paris is not far either – only 1 hour and 10 minutes by train !
