CATHÉDRALE NOTRE-DAME DE LA TRINITÉ

The Trinity Church, nowadays Cathedral, has been built not far from the castle, in 1070, by monks coming from 'La Couture' in Le Mans.

The building has been profoundly rearranged over the centuries. It has only been granted the title of cathedral in 1855.

That is the reason why it shows a quite mixed architecture (vestiges of romanesque style, gothic, renaissance, baroque...)

Discover the different stages of transformation and its precious furniture : some altarpieces, statues, furenal monuments, tapestries, a triptych and its organ.
