LA VIGIE - MEMORIAL DES DEPORTES DE LA MAYENNE

The Memorial of the Deported Mayenne pays tribute to all the deportees of the department of Mayenne. This site, unique in the great west, is organized around two spaces: the Espace Mémoire and Espace Vigilance. More than a place of memory and recollection, the Memorial is a place of exchange, artistic expression, information and vigilance. Objects brought back from the camps, exhibitions, wall of names are revealed to you in a very particular atmosphere and adapted to all. The Memorial is also a memory passer and awakener in the face of the news. Come visit this new site in Mayenne! Why a Memorial? -Take a tribute to all the deportees of the department of Mayenne and in the near future to the deportees of the Pays de la Loire region. -To make available to the public an educational tool. -Perenninate the memory of the deportation. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Saturday and the first Sunday of each month from 14h to 18h. Closed on public holidays, during the Christmas holidays and in January.
